user_id creation not generated using curl?

hmmm....what do yo umean by the user_id was not automatcially generated using curl to post infomration to the app, but using the web browser, it somehow does generate it. and it's becuase of authentication...what do you mean by that? what does the web interface do to populate the user_id?
