Using .format() on an existing variable to replace it with a new variable

I understand how to use .join to create a new string from the sundaes variable. I do not understand how to combine this with the .format function to create a new menu variable.

Any tips?

banana.py 
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
menu = 'Our available flavors are: {}.'
', '.join(sundaes).format(menu)

You are close. You need to use the format() method on the menu string with the join results as the argument:

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
menu = 'Our available flavors are: {}.'.format', '.join(sundaes))
