can you help me with this one plz check attached code

structs.swift
struct RGBColor {
  let red: Double
  let green: Double
  let blue: Double
  let alpha: Double

  let description: String

  // Add your code below
  init(red: Double,green: Double ,blue: Double ,alpha:Double,description: String) {

        let red = 86.0
        let green = 191.0
        let blue = 131.0
        let alpha = 1.0
        let description = "red: 86.0, green: 191.0, blue: 131.0, alpha: 1.0"
        self.red = red
        self.green = green
        self.blue = blue
        self.alpha = alpha
        self.description = description

}
}

Hi,

Try this one:

struct RGBColor {
  let red: Double
  let green: Double
  let blue: Double
  let alpha: Double

  let description: String

  // Add your code below
  init(red: Double, green: Double, blue: Double, alpha: Double) {
        self.red = red
        self.green = green
        self.blue = blue
        self.alpha = alpha
        self.description = "red: \(self.red), green: \(self.green), blue: \(self.blue), alpha: \(self.alpha)"
    }
}

Hey Monzer,

Documentation for initialization: Swift 3.0 Initialization. I think a relevant topic is Parameter Names and Argument Labels.

I see a couple things you can fix:

  1. You don't need the description: String argument in your init method. That String can be created independent of the initialization step.
  2. Remove the values you assign in your init method (first four lines of the method). Those values will be provided when a RGBColor instance is created. Same goes for hard-coding your description.

The next four lines are perfect. This is the foundation of your init method. And from those values you can create a description using string interpolation.

self.red = red
self.green = green
self.blue = blue
self.alpha = alpha
self.description = /* use string interpolation */
