Hi, I don't find help for the above question.
grocery_item = { "item" => "Bread", "quantity" => 1, "brand" => "Treehouse Bread Company" }
grocery_item.has_value?("Bread")
if(grocery_item.has_value?("Bread") == true)
grocery_item = { "food" => true}
end

grocery_item = { "item" => "Bread", "quantity" => 1, "brand" => "Treehouse Bread Company" }
if grocery_item.has_value?("Bread")
grocery_item['food'] = true
end
I am just adding the food
attribute to the grocery item with a value of true *if* the
grocery_item` has a value of "bread".
Note you don't need the == true
in the grocery_item.has_value("Bread") == true
statement. This is because the has_value
function already returns true
or false
in the first place and you don't need to compare it to true.
I hope this helps. ~Alex
