My code has errors on lines 27, 31, 37, 43, 49, 55. I believe it is where it says (alt"") but I'm not sure what was suppose to go in between the (" "). P.S. I copied the code from lines 27 to 57

25,869 PointsHi Laura,
The validator should be fine with the blank alt tags but the errors look to be caused by the missing = after the alt and before the ". Adding these should stop the validation errors, e.g.
<img src="img/numbers-06.jpg" alt"">
would become:
<img src="img/numbers-06.jpg" alt="">
Let us know if that sorts it :)

Treehouse Moderator 145,860 PointsHi Laura,
You're getting the error because the validater doesn't like empty alt' tags. The 'alt' tags are used to display text in the case that the image cannot be displayed or if someone is using a screen reader. In the 'alt' tags, you can just place a brief description of the image. For example, if you are showing a hot air balloon rising in front of a mountain, you could do
alt="bright colored hot-air balloon slowly rising with mountains in the background"`
I know the challenge asks you to leave the alt
tags empty (which gives you the errors), but that is why and what the alt tags are for.
Hope that helps. :)
