Hi John,

Seems like you're running into a syntax problem. Your code should look like this:

var player = "Jasmine";
document.write(player);

John;

Welcome to Treehouse;

You want the print the variable player, not the string 'player'. Just take the quotes off of 'player' in your second line of code.

Happy Holidays,

Ken

Thanks for the help fellow coders. Corrected the player part of my code and it worked.

for 1st question var player='Jasmine'; for 2nd question document.write(player);

What is wrong with my code?

var player = β€˜Jasmine’;
