Video Game Track is difficult!

This Video Game track is crazy hard! (Had to get that off my chest... lol)

I don't know about therapy, but stick with it! At the end, you will have a frog that hops around and eats flies! :frog:

Just hang in there! :sparkles:

ha! Well, I'm definitely looking forward to that!

I gave up the video game track with just those concerns. Now, giving up a course or a track I've started is not something I do lightly.

I enjoyed the first 2 courses as I got to know Unity a little bit. Unity is a complex package and there's a lot of things to get to know as well as a new programming language. So you have to be seriously dedicated to it.

You have to get to know

  • Unity
  • Unity C# compiler
  • And import your own graphics and modelling

Modelling Art is a science in itself and a huge expense for something I'm not sure I'm 100% committed to, exciting as it is to think I can make my own games. It is certainly something I hope I can dip back into. I guess the take away want to ram home is, stick with it if you know you're committed to it. Because if you are, you will learn and you will be rewarded. :)

Agreed! Your heart has to be in it. I do like that they have a store where you can buy assets, that was my plan if I started making games. But You definitely have to be invested.

Keep it up Tony Brackins, I know how difficult It is because I used to work on some little video games in the past. However not as a programmer, just as 3D artist (Mostly texturing and modeling).

My advice would be that you don't have to be too much impatient, one step at a time, things take time to grasp and there are many aspects to understand correctly.

Nevertheless, I'd like to insist that It's probably better to focus on a specific skill than trying to master everything which sounds nearly impossible to me, even If It's still good to know how things work a little bit in each aspect of the pipeline.

I don't know on which area you want to focus, but for exemple if you prefere to code, you can still buy/downloads models from 3D stores, as a lot of programmers do to create their prototypes.

The matter is to have fun finally !!!
