Web Apps for iOS

I have a website made with HTML/CSS/JS. I have heard of people making websites, or apps with Ruby on Rails, and connecting it to Xcode so that it can run as an app. Is that possible? Could someone please explain what I can do?

apple generally frowns on apps that are really just mobile websites. what would most likely happen is you design a mobile site, you create an app that has a UIWebView that displays that mobile website. then you submit your app and apple denies it and then says you need to add more functionality to the app and make it do more than just display a webpage

Yeah, a lot of apps that I have created have been with Xcode, however someone told me that I was going about it the wrong way. I figured that they would deny my app if I tried submitting it for review with just a UIWebView. Thank you for your answer! I'm going to stick to Xcode.

Try phone gap. A lot of people use that to do what you're talking about.
