Update the top padding of which element? Child selector is probably what you need though.

nav > ul > li {}

The challenge code should look something like this:

nav ul {
  margin: 0 10px;
  padding: 0;
  list-style: none;
}
nav ul li {
  display: inline-block;
}
nav ul li a {
  font-weight: 800;
  padding: 15px 10px;
}

The padding-top property should be modified for the a tags inside the ul
