Well Gill, You never explained what a "const" was. I went through JS Basics and Loops... What's up with that?

I very much prefer the other instructor :(

The "const" isn't unique to DOM traversal, which may be why it wasn't specifically explained in this course. It's just a way to declare a variable that cannot be changed.

But you might enjoy Getting Started With ES2015 or Introducing ES2015, where it will be explained along with a lot of other cool stuff.

Should we go through ES2015 course before going through the DOM course? I didn't think it was necessary, but I dont want to not understand what the code is doing if I dont know the newer features of ES2015

I don't think it's absolutely necessary for this particular course, but if you're not familiar with the newer syntax and functionality at all, you'd probably benefit by taking one of the courses I mentioned at your first opportunity.
