You got that in slightly the wrong order. The hash comes between id
and lastName
. So, add "#"
with +=
on to userName
first. Then do the same with the upper case version of lastName
. You end up with:
var userName = id.toUpperCase();
userName += "#";
userName += lastName.toUpperCase();
