13,362 PointsWhat algorithm SQL uses?
I tried to Google but it was a bit vague. Is it a linear algorithm? If I have multiple conditions, does it going to be exponential or does it says linear?
And, If I need to use really complicated condition, Is there are a better way than just nesting in multiple lines? It doesn't seem like SQL has variable or function for queries, but Is there is any way to refactor it?

13,362 PointsDoes it mean that SQL chooses the most suitable algorithm in the situation? I have tried to read the document but I think I understand less than 20%.
