What am I doing wrong?

favorite_things = ['raindrops on roses', 'whiskers on kittens', 'bright copper kettles',
                   'warm woolen mittens', 'bright paper packages tied up with string',

slice1 = favorite_things  [1:4]
slice2 = favorite_things  [5:6]

You did great on task 1. :smile:

Task 2 says, "Get the last two items from favorite_things and put them into slice2." But remember that indexes start at 0, and the stop value in a slice means "up to but not including". So a slice spec of "[5:6]" would take only the sixth item from the list (the one with an index of 5). So you might need a different stop number.

There's also another way to solve this task. A negative start number means "staring from the end". I think this method is more of a "direct code translation" from the instructions, but either method can satisfy the task.
