The variable name and the assignment operator should not be inside the quotes. Only the string value being assigned.

Also, be sure to spell things the same way they are given in the instructions (including upper/lower case).

When making a String variable declaration in Javascript, all parenthesis go on the right side of the equals sign. On the left side of the equals sign is where your variable is declared.

var variableName = "This is my string";
