What am i missing here

So the challenge is to append the newParagraph element to the contentDiv when i type out my code as listed below i receive an error.

app.js 
var contentDiv = document.getElementById('content');
var newParagraph = document.createElement('p');
newParagraph.className = 'panel';
newParagraph.appendChild(contentDiv)
index.html 
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
    <head>
        <title>DOM Manipulation</title>
    </head>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" />
    <body>
        <div id="content">

        </div>
        <script src="app.js"></script>
    </body>
</html>

You need to switch contentDiv and newParagraph in places in the last line of your code. contentDiv is the parent element;

Check this code example:

var contentDiv = document.getElementById('content');
var newParagraph = document.createElement('p');
newParagraph.className = 'panel';
contentDiv.appendChild(newParagraph);
