What does "looks like task 1 is no longer passing" mean?

I'm trying to combine an uppercase id variable with a hashtag with an uppercase lastName variable to plug all into the userName variable.

It usually means you've introduced a syntax error.

Since a syntax error invalidates the entire script, and because the previous tasks are re-tested in order, the challenge reports that task 1 is no longer passing.

In this case, you have a typo where you placed a comma instead of a period between "lastName" and "toUpperCase()".

See its simple you dont need so many unnecessary variables var id = "23188xtr"; var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase() + ' # ' + lastName.toUpperCase();
