What have I done wrong? My code works in the shell?

Here is what I have so far:

def just_right(new_string): if len(str(new_string)) < 5: print("Your string is too short") elif len(str(new_string)) > 5: print("Your string is too long") else: return True

strlen.py
def just_right(new_string):
    if len(str(new_string)) < 5:
        print("Your string is too short")
    elif len(str(new_string)) > 5:
        print("Your string is too long")
    else:
        return True

Hey Marcus,

Your code is correct, except it is not what the challenge is asking for. Challenges are very strict and very picky when it comes to the instructions, so you need to pay close attention to them.

The challenge wants you to return the strings specified, but you are using print. Just change your print statements to return statements and you're good to go.

Keep Coding! :dizzy:
