def add(num1, num2): try: float(num1) float(num2) return num1 + num2 except ValueError: return False else: return True add(5,8)

trial.py
def add(num1, num2):
    try:
        float(num1)
        float(num2)
        return num1 + num2
    except ValueError:
        return False
    else:
        return True
add(5,8)

Hi, you are very close. I would read the instructions again as you are missing a couple of steps. For the except should return None

Hope that helps.
