What is "editMode"

Is "editMode" a class, a method, or what

var containClass = listItem.classList.contains  ("editMode");
if (containClass) {
    label.innerText = editInput.value;
  } else{
    editInput.value = label.innerText;
  }
   listItem.classList.toggle ("editMode");

Yes, editMode is an HTML class. If you have the project files, or look in Workspaces, you will find an <li> element with the class="editMode".
