What is the correct way to this code?

Jaimee,

Almost! You've created and set your variable correctly, but you're not passing the correct value into your document.write() statement. When you surround a value in quotation marks, you set its type to be a string. Thus, at the moment, rather than passing in your variable named player, you're passing in a string of text that reads "player". Remove the quotation marks from around the value that you're passing into your function, and you'll be good to go!
