What is the purpose of the normalize.css file in our index.html document?

Do I need the normalize.css file in my index.html for my webpage to work?

Hi Chris,

Normalize.css is there just to fix inconsistencies across browsers. Your webpage will work without it, but can look a bit different when viewed in Chrome/Firefox/IE.
