what is the recommended layout wrapper width should i use?

what is the recommended layout wrapper width should i use? do we use the same width 70% as Guil. 70% seems too much to me but i dont know if that is standard thanks

I would set it to 100% but then inside the wrapper have a new div tag which is set to a particular width and set the margin to margin: 0 auto; Least then the wrapper is responsive :)
