1,514 PointsWhat is the syntax for multiple variables between the else ()'s?
I can't figure out this syntax
var isAdmin = false;
var isStudent = false;
if ( isAdmin ) {
alert('Welcome administrator');
} else if (isStudent) {
alert('Welcome student');
}
else (isAdmin && isStudent) {
alert("Who are you?");
}

Treehouse TeacherHi there! The reason you cannot figure out the syntax between the parentheses of the else
clause is because it doesn't have parentheses. The else
clause is what happens when everything before it fails. So if some condition is true, do this, else if this other condition is true, do this, otherwise (else) do this.
if(thisThing) {
// do something
} else if(thisOtherThing) {
// do something different
} else {
// do something completely different
}
Hope this helps!
