what si wrong with my code

There is a missing ')' on the else statement, and the logic of the if statement is backwards. Also the start-- does not decrease the start count.

import random

def even_odd(num):
    # If % 2 is 0, the number is even.

    # Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
    return not num % 2

start=5
while start:
    n=random.randint(1,99)

    if even_odd(n):
        print('{} is even'.format(n))
    else:

    start -= 1

This should work.
