What's wrong here?

Can anyone explain why I'm unable to pass this code challenge? I'm attempting to add images within the unordered list. Here's what I'm being told :

"Bummer! Make sure you include an image tag that displays "img/numbers-01.jpg". "

I'm pretty sure I'm doing that, and I asked my friend who has been a developer for years what I was doing wrong and he couldn't find any mistakes, either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

task 2 states: Inside the three new list items, add the following images from inside the img folder: "numbers-01.jpg", "numbers-02.jpg", and "numbers-06.jpg". Leave the alt attributes blank, and don’t add any captions or links. Just the images!

you need to remove the linksfrom your list items

 <section>
      <ul>
        <li>

          <img src="img/numbers-01.jpg" alt="">
        </li>
        <li>

          <img src="img/numbers-02.jpg" alt="">

        </li>
        <li>

          <img src="img/numbers-06.jpg" alt="">

        </li>

      </ul>
    </section>

Post the code you are trying to submit.

Thanks

Sorry, I'm not sure why it didn't let me post the code in my initial comment.

      <ul>
        <li>
          <a href="img/numbers-01.jpg">
            <img src="img/numbers-01.jpg" alt="">
          </a>
       </li>
        <li>
        <a href="img/numbers-02.jpg">

        </li>
        <li>
