I don't what I'm doing wrong challenge 3 of 4, but when I run my code in the terminal it works.
def first_4(hello): return hello[0:4]
def first_and_last_4(heyoo): return heyoo[0:4] + heyoo[-4:]
def odds(killers): return killers(0::2)
def first_4(hello):
return hello[0:4]
def first_and_last_4(heyoo):
return heyoo[0:4] + heyoo[-4:]

Treehouse Moderator 68,441 PointsYou are very close! Two parts to correct:
- The
killers
slice syntax should use square brackets or braces [ ] not parens - You are returning all of the even indexes. How would you signify the odd indexes? Hint: change which index you start on.
