what's wrong with this code, even the output is same?

var id = "23188xtr"; var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase(); userName += "#"; var lastNameCaps = lastName.toUpperCase(); var fullName = userName + lastNameCaps; document.write(fullName);

app.js
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase();
userName += "#";
var lastNameCaps = lastName.toUpperCase();
var fullName = userName + lastNameCaps;
document.write(fullName);

Hello Abhijeet.

Please note 2 things: 1) you don't want to document.write anything, you just need to get the right value in the right variable.

2) you want the final variable to be called userName still and not something different. If you correct these 2 things you'll be good to go!

Vitto

I'll give another hint and that is you want to concatenate the other variables plus the # sign into the variable username.
