HTML How to Make a Website HTML First Build Structure

when i press crtl+right arrow the cursor des no go to the end of the line, but only to the end of the word it's on.

why doesn't the cursor move to the end of the line as it's supposed to when i click "ctrl+right arrow" or "ctrl+left arrow"?

Hi Tiffany,

Are you working on a Mac or PC?

Thanks

-Rich

It's a PC

Hi Tiffany,

That's very odd. Have you tried any other combinations such as alt + right arrow (normally one word at a time on a PC I think - it is on a Mac anyway) or shift + right arrow (normally selecting one letter at a time)? It's possible that the keyboard setup means one of these do the function instead.

'Alt' + Right arrow goes to the end of the line

'Ctrl' + Right arrow goes to the end of the word.

I'm using windows 8 right now, and [alt + arrow key] seems to be working for me.

Ctrl + Arrow only goes one word at a time for me also (Win 8.1, Chrome). Alt + Arrow goes to the end of the line for me.

Rich Bagley on PC: CTRL + (Arrow) goes to end of word, ALT + (Arrow) goes to end of line

Hello, I think we need more context in order to understand your issue. Please describe where this is happening to you and what the exact issue is.

Thanks, Matt

Hi Rich, it's a PC

Yes I can confirm what they shown in the video is wrong. I'm on windows 7 and to get to the end of the line, it's (alt key+right arrow key)

I think for all PCs, Ctrl + Right arrow goes to the end of the word; while Alt + Right arrow goes to the end of the line

On windows you have to use "Home" and "End" button to move to the end and the beginning of the line.
