Are you talking about the numbers used in media queries?

I believe these to be the most generic of screen sizes. Not saying you have to use them, its just a learning point. Play around with different values. Hope this helps.

Hi Kenneth,

As Jack has said those px values in the media queries are based on knowledge of different device px widths and commonly used breakpoints that suit mobile first layouts.

If you are using chrome as your browser there is a nice little feature called device mode that the inspector has.

Right click and choose "inspect element" in the top left of the inspector that opens there is a little icon that looks like a phone and a tablet. Click that and it changes the site to show you how it would look at a particular width. From the top you can even choose particular devices or px widths :)

It is a great tool to get used to!

Hope this helps! Craig
