Where do I go next for Ruby on Rails Development?

I just finished the Ruby on Rails track including all prerequisites and recommended courses, and I loved it. I was under the impression, however, that I would be able to create fully fledged websites at some point using my knowledge of Ruby on Rails. I'm a bit lost. Where do I go next? It doesn't look like there are any other Ruby courses available.

Being able to build APIs using Rails is an important skill. I'd recommend trying our Build a Rails API course.

After that, I'd probably recommend the book The Rails 5 Way. It's a very thorough reference.

Thank you! I actually purchased the Ruby on Rails Tutorial by Michael Hartl. What are your impressions of that text?

I also purchased your book on Ruby.

Thanks again, and I really enjoy your style of teaching!

Micah Howard Aww, thanks!

I've only seen older versions of Michael Hartl's Rails tutorial, but I was very impressed with how he broke concepts down. I don't know how far the current version will take you in advanced concepts, but it's a solid tutorial.
