It's been a while since I've done this course, but sadly, I believe the original course you are talking about has been retired and replaced with the updated Build a Basic PHP Website.
This replacement does use update material, but doesn't continue on with the course you are currently talking about.
What I recommend, is if you are comfortable with PHP (and class yourself as at intermediate knowledge), you can still take the course and just download the project files to be able to follow along.
If your not that comfortable with PHP, the I'd recommend taking the new course, and then if you want, continue on in the way I stated above.
Hope it all works out. Keep coding! :)

44 PointsI'm Sorry, but I'm terribly disappointed that teamtreehouse would get rid of the very first video (Build a basic php application) and leave the other two. That makes no sense. You replace the old one with one that has nothing to do with it. That's absurd. The new Basic PHP application is good but does not fullfill what the learners are needing.
Why did yall get rid of the other one in the first place? Please give a very good explanation. You simply cannot follow along without the original video. Unless you also make updated "using mysql" videos for the new Build A basic php application. Otherwise those other vidoes are worthless.
