Why am I not selecting the element?

I thought this seemed pretty straight forward, but obviously I'm missing something. I've tried using document.querySelector("input") and document.getElementById("linkName") neither seem to be working. I've referenced the hint video provided and didn't get anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

The message you receive is: Bummer: Make sure that you get the value of the selected 'input' element. You need to store the value of the element.
