Why cant I drag my downloaded image folder to the side bar?

I have downloaded the images, but when I try to drag and drop them to the side bar, I don't get the dark grey box to drop them in. What am I doing wrong?

Try making sure that you have the sidebar set to show. You should be seeing a file tree.

Hit ctrl+shift+H or look under the View tab and pick "Show Sidebar".

If that doesn't work you may have side bar set to too small of a width. Hover your cursor near the edge and see if it changes to a drag icon ( it should look like two arrows pointing away from each other with two lines in the middle). If you see that simply click and drag the bar over to expand.

I'm having the same problem and based on the questions and responses on "Structure The Image Gallery" section it may be a support issue ( I'm running Windows 8.1). Have you tried right clicking on the gray side bar and clicking Upload file? Or clicking Upload File from the File tab on the top? It's suggested but it isn't working for me either. Hopefully that works for you.

Hi,

I had a similar issue. I don't know if it's the same for you but; I had to extract the files out of the folder and drop them onto my desktop before dragging them back into the workspace. (I'm using windows 8.1) Hope that helps!

Steven, you are a genius! Thank you, that solved my problem and hopefully Kelly's problem too.
