7,259 PointsWhy can't I select by tag name "button" if button is a tag name?
Not sure what to do here. Trying to select the buttons to get to the previous element sibling.
const list = document.getElementsByTagName('ul')[0];
list.addEventListener('click', function(e) {
if (e.target.tagName == 'BUTTON') {
let prevP = button.previousElementSibling;
prevP.className = 'highlight';
}
});

33,586 PointsYou are assigning prevP to a variable called button that doesn't exist. e.target holds your button.
