why did we do const checkbox = document.createElement('input');

The argument to "createElement" should be a tag name, and "input" is the tag for a checkbox. The element type attribute is "checkbox", which is set on it after it is created.

you can only do document.createElement('input') because element itself is an input (tag). Checkbox is the type of input (attribute of input tag)
