Why do you change ListView to list? (Android Activity Lifecycle: updating and creating layoutfiles)

I am a bit confused, why can't you leave "@+id/ListView" in xml file.

i think that "list" in this case is a special system id. I think the adapter looks for this specific id and needs to find it in order to know which ListView to reference.
