36,441 PointsIn order to understand this, you have to read up on the differences between instance variables (the ones starting with @) and local variables (the ones without @).

52,045 PointsYes, @ variable can go through between different methods in class (instance variable) in Rails @ variable can go from controller file to view template file. However a variable without any @ stay at its method. (local variable)
