why does it always say it looks like task 1 is no longer working

in the second part...

Hi Michelle, It looks like you're missing a curly brace and a semi-colon The second #wrapper should read

#wrapper {
max-width: 940px;
margin: 0 auto;
}

Kate is correct...

But just for future reference, the "Task # is no longer passing" is a very vague and incorrect error response.

This error message always means that there is a syntax, spelling, or punctuation error in the current task you are on. Never hit the "Go To Task #" button, as this will start you all over for no reason.

In this specific example, it was a syntax error. However, you will more than likely encounter this "Task" error in the future. Just remember that it has nothing to do with the past tasks, but always everything to do with the current task.
