Why does it keep saying task 1's answer is wrong if I didnt change anything on task 2?

Sometimes error codes are not 100% accurate to what's wrong with the code. the .format() method needs to be called on a string. So you would want something like

subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name)

See how .format is being called on the string "Treehouse loves {}"
