Python Python Basics (2015) Letter Game App Even or Odd Loop

Why does the code works on IDLE but fails on the code challenge screen ?

This code works perfectly on IDDLE but when I run it in the Treehouse code challenge interface, it fails.

Why ?

even.py
import random
def even_odd(num):
    # If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
    # Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
    return not num % 2

start = 5
while start:
    num = random.randint(1,99)
    result = even_odd(num)
    if result:
        print("{} is even.".format(num))
    else:
        print("{} is odd.".format(num))

    start = start - 1

You are so darn close!

Remember that code challenges are very picky about everything.

It seems that you are printing "{} is even." and "{} is odd." instead of "{} is even" and "{} is odd".

Yes, even a period at the end of a string can give you an annoying Bummer message.

Thanks a lot for your answer Alexander, perfect it works now ;) I was not expecting it to be so picky All the best and thanks again !

No problem :)
