Why doesn't list[1::2] work for getting all odd numbers in a list?

Can anyone tell what I'm doing wrong? This appears to be a pretty simple question and I feel as though my answer is correct, but the quiz is not accepting the answer as correct.

slices.py 
def odds(arg2):
  return arg2[1::2]

Nevermind: ( Important: The code you write in each task should be added to the code written in the previous task.)

I had deleted the previous function from the answer script.
