In my dictionary i have four values in my dictionary in my dictionary. I should it get back the value 4 but i get back 7...could someone explain where i am going wrong
# The dictionary will look something like:
# {'Andrew Chalkley': ['jQuery Basics', 'Node.js Basics'],
# 'Kenneth Love': ['Python Basics', 'Python Collections']}
#
# Each key will be a Teacher and the value will be a list of courses.
#
# Your code goes below here.
def num_teachers(teachers):
count = 0
for teacher in teachers.keys():
count +=1
return count
def num_courses(teachers):
for value in teachers.values():
total = len(value)
return total

The second function is just assigning the total value, so after the loop is over it will only contain the length of the last value.

I was using my own dictionary which i wrote in pycharm.. The last value was English which was 7 characters hence that is where i got seven from. You indirectly gave me the answer as i need to re evaluate my code
