Why doesnt the overlay or the image show up next to the initial location when hovering?

If i use Translate on one of the firsts rows of images and i hover over them the image moves to the side but doesn't disappear. It is still visible, I have been looking at the main.css and the index file but can't find the reason why it is disappearing in the third row?

And when using options like this, is it also possible to use fluid images? Since all the images are 728x484 I was wondering if the translate would still work?

Can you make a workspace snapshot and post the link to it? A link to the course page you are working with would also be helpful.
