why I copy it to the theme child

hello the video before is ok but from where he got this three files did he created it or it created from page or he don't want to through us in advance mode so he created it outside and get it to us and explain it . the they didn't got php before !!! php in progress of this course

i recommend you going to dive a bit in php before going deeper into Wordpress because Wordpress uses alot of php and some of the courses here are hard to follow with no php knowledge.
