why is not correct?

Hi, Kennit. this is my answer i try my own machine code is working but. i cant pass the challenge.

def squared(num): try: return print(int(num) ** 2) except ValueError: return print(num * 3)

or

def squared(num): try: return int(num) ** 2 except ValueError: return num * 3

Hi, Instead of an integer 3, you should use the len() function to get the length of the string.

try:
    return int(num) ** 2
except ValueError:
    return num * len(num)
