why is this code not passing the test?

when i use this code in the treehouse workspace is displays the line of text as asked. why is this not working?

$firstName = "Rasmus";
$lastName = "Lerdorf";
$fullname = "$firstName"." $lastName";

$fullname .=' was the original creator of PHP ';
$fullname .= "\n";
echo $fullname;

You don't need to assign message to variable fullname and also as I guess you are not doing concatenation of two variable properly.
