Courses Plus Student 39,959 PointsYou need to assign the uppercase version of the id to the userName variable in the first step:
var userName = id.toUpperCase();
then to complete the assignment you need to use the string concatenation (using the plus sign "+"):
var userName = id.toUpperCase() + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();
N.B. in your code when you call the toUpperCase() method on the id variable you forgot to assign the result to the userName variable so you have lost it in the next assignement.
