Why is this wrong?

char alpha = 'a'; char bravo = 'b';

char letters[2]; letters[0] = 'alpha'; return 0;

to assign a variable as an element of an array:

char someArray[0] = someVariable;

you put your variable name in quotes. thats why its wrong. I also dont think you need to return anything. just leave the return statement off.
