please post your code here, or atleast a screenshot so we can help you better.

When <a> tags are clicked, the blue text will show up purple the next time you visit the page. These are default browser settings which can be targetted with css using pseudo classes

if a hyperlink is on any of the items they can appear purple unless you disable that highlighting.
