18,036 PointsWhy isn't the message in the "else" displaying?
I keep getting an error that says "The array is empty but I don't see a message indicating there are no recommendations."
The code definitely say to display the message in HTML paragraph tags, so that has to be outside the php code. I keep checking my ending symbols but they seem to be alright.
Any ideas?
<?php
$recommendations = array();
?><html>
<body>
<h1>Flavor Recommendations</h1>
<?php if(!empty($recommendations)) { ?>
<ul>
<?php foreach($recommendations as $flavor) { ?>
<li><?php echo $flavor; ?></li>
<?php } ?>
</ul>
<?php } else { ?>
<p>'There are no flavor recommendations for you.'</p>
<?php } ?>
</body>
</html>

The reason why the Bummer! is happening is because of the single quotes you have surrounding your message. They use quotes to let you know what you should type out, but they shouldn't be on the page itself.
<?php
$recommendations = array();
?><html>
<body>
<h1>Flavor Recommendations</h1>
<?php if(!empty($recommendations)) { ?>
<ul>
<?php foreach($recommendations as $flavor) { ?>
<li><?php echo $flavor; ?></li>
<?php } ?>
</ul>
<?php } else { ?>
<p>There are no flavor recommendations for you.</p>
<?php } ?>
</body>
</html>
